2012 Euro'pen Cup

Due to financial and organizational reasons and after intense discussions between the local organizer Nordwind Wassersport, the German O'pen BIC Class Association and the International O'pen BIC Class Association it has been decided to move the venue of the EurO'pen Cup from Damp to Surendorf. There the event can be run much more flexibly.

Surendorf has successfully hosted the German O'pen Cups in 2010 and 2011.

The venue and the organizer Nordwind Wassersport have proven their capability to run huge O'pen BIC events. Surendorf has a beach marina. The next slipway is in the Olympic harbor in Schilksee (about 15 minutes by boat). At night the ribs need to be pulled ashore or anchored.

At the same time the entry date has been moved to July 1st 2012.

So far 30 German and about 15 international competitors from various european countries are registered for the event. We expect a total participation between 50 and 60 competitors. For organisational reasons the maximum number of competitors is limited to 60 boats. We remind everybody who is interested to participate in the EurO'pen Cup and who is not registered yet to make his registration.

Here you have the date overview:
• July 8th (arrival day) to July 11th 2012 : International Training Camp

• July 12th to July 14th 2012 : EurO'pen Cup

• July 15th 2012 : Reserve day / Departure

The local Organizer Nordwind Wassersport has about 30 free beds directly at the watersport station. Attention! These beds are primarily reserved for the competitors. They are also ready to help with the booking of apartments and hotels.
