On the first day of the regatta the young sailors were welcomed by strong Force 7 winds and high waves. This brought the kids to their limits. But it was impressive to see how good the youngsters were able to control their O'pen BIC dinghies in these challenging conditions. So it was possible to finalize four races on the opening day.

The following day brought another five races in light wind conditions. This gave the racers the chance to recover from the hard sailing the day before. The sailors with advanced technical and tactical skills had the chance to play out their potential.

The final day pleased the kids and the organization with perfect medium winds from force three to five which enabled the race committee to run another five races.

After a total of 14 races Giona Renggli (SUI-5220) from Switzerland is placed on the first position of the overall results with a total of 30 points. Jaques Osinski (FRA-18) from France follows on place two mit 48 points. The third place goes to Ratrick Rüss (GER-231) from Germany who conquered 58 points.

In the U13-category Florin van Roomen (SUI-4317) from Switzerland wins in front of Georgia Togni (SUI-5221) also Switzerland and Jill Paland (GER-3273) from Germany.

n the U15-category the triumph goes to Giona Renggli (SUI-5220) from Switzerland in front of Jaques Osinski (FRA-18) from France und Theijs Wijnheimer (NED-4403) from the Netherlands.

In the Open-category Patrick Ruess (GER-231) from Germany took the victory in front of Firmin Tritthardt (GER-57) also Germany and Gianni Stiefel (SUI-1) from Switzerland.

After three exciting competition days the young Class is happy and proud about the biggest O'pen BIC Regatta in Germany so far.

45 sailors from five different countries created a great international atmosphere. The races were held in the true spirit of O'pen BIC sailing with on-water-judging which ensured that no protests were held on the beach after the races. Many of the kids established international friendships and are already looking forward to meeting each other again at the World O'pen Cup which will take place in Miami, Florida (USA) from November 1st to 3rd 2012.
