O'pen BIC achieves ISAF Recognised Status
In the final days of the 2007 ISAF Annual Conference at Estoril, Portugal, the ISAF Council confirmed its Recognised Class Status for the O'pen BIC.
The O'pen BIC achieved Recognised Class status as a result of the strong fleets that have developed in France, the USA, Italy and South America. Established in late 2006 the International Class Association, recognising the skiff like performances of the O'pen BIC, started to propose exciting new race formats for our kids at the Euro'pean, US & Italian O'pen Cups.
These formats included slalom, adventure racing and O'pen Cross (compulsory freestyle moves), and with up to 40 kids participating in each event it is clear that they were quite a success!
