TAN O'pen Cup, 25-26 April 2009
The Italian 2009 O'pen Cup season is well underway, having started in Livorno on 25th April. 24 young sailors competed in a total of 5 races (O'pen Cross & Speed) in light wind conditions (4 / 5 knots) under brilliant sunshine.
Well done to all those young sailors who not only had great fun but also had to contend with difficult enough conditions like true navigators!
The results of this first O'pen Cup are:
Under 15 => 1° Davide Chincoli ANS, 2° Marco Bucalossi ANS, 3° Mattia Chincoli ANS.
Under 12 => 1° Gianluca Chincoli ANS, 2° Luca Conte C.V Porto Azzurro, 3° Andrea Smussi F.V. Desenzano.
Girls => 1° Margherita Porro ANS, 2° Carlotta Cestari ANS, 3° Beatrice Venerandi ANS
The prize-giving ceremony was held in Expo-Village Tuttovela, the trophies were handed out by the Bic Sport Promotion team who thanked the Navy, represented by Commandant Volpe, the organisers Livorno Yacht Club and Rip Curl Italy for all the goodies.
The O'pen Bic circuit continues on 16th & 17th May in Desenzano, Lake Garda.
