Chili Copa Audi Mall March 2008
30 March 2008 CHILE : Copa Audi Mall Sport attracts 27 participants! After a series of 3 events held throughout Chile over the 2007-2008 summer season, participation on the Open BIC reached new heights recently with 27 racers attending the latest Copa Audi Mall Sport, held on the Laguna Piedra Roja, Santiago, 30 March 08.
Participants where split into two groups, novice and expert, and a total of 7 races were completed in winds ranging from 8-12 knots. The O'pen BIC showed it's versatility with a huge age range of participants, right from as young as 8 years up to 17 years!
All in all, a good time was had by all and many thanks go to the sponsors of the event: Nautisport, Audi & Mall Sport.
The final event of the season will be held this weekend at Algarobo, a seaside resort on the central coast, just south of Vaparaiso and 100 km from Santiago. This event will decide the lucky competitor that will come to compete at the World O'pen Cup in Carnac, France, 19-21 July 08... we are sure the competition will be tough!
